A collision of 1970s pop culture and true-crime mythology, Charlie! throws Charlie’s Angels, Revlon’s Charlie perfume, Flowers for Algernon, Charlie the Tuna and Charles Manson into one gleefully warped theatrical universe.

Three crime-fighting beauties infiltrate a cosmetics company on assignment from their mysterious unseen boss—who turns out to be Charlie Manson.

Produced by Theatre Couture, Charlie! premiered at P.S. 122 and continued in an extended run at HERE Arts Center. Erik subsequently adapted the play for film; the screen version premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival.
